La Maïoun, “le maillon” en provençal du Luberon, “la maison” en provençal niçois a été construite en 1817. Certaines fondations du hameau sont plus anciennes encore et datent du Moyen-Âge.
La maison est située au coeur du plateau des Claparèdes, à 500m d’altitude, au coeur des champs de lavande. Historiquement la maison a été construite pour accueillir les cueilleurs de lavande saisonniers. La lavande y était stockée et conservée jusqu’à ce qu’elle rejoigne la distillerie familiale des Agnels, située un peu plus bas sur la route.
Aujourd’hui c’est une maison de famille, rénovée par la designer Margaux Keller, mêlant habilement authenticité provençale et modernité joyeuse.

Some of the foundations of the hamlet are even older and date from the Middle Ages. The house is located in the heart of the Claparèdes, at an altitude of 500m, in the heart of the lavender fields. Historically the house was built to accommodate seasonal lavender pickers.
The lavender was stored and preserved there until it joined the family distillery of Agnels, located a little further down the road.
Now it is a family house, freshly upgraded by designer Margaux Keller, mixing authentic provence theme with more modern colorful style.
